In this project, we developed a compact and versatile mini power pack designed for portability and functionality. This power pack was built several years ago, and the images and video shown were captured after three years of continuous use. Remarkably, it still performs as efficiently as it did on its first day.

Key Features:

  1. Power Output:

    • 220V AC Output: Capable of powering a wide range of appliances with up to 200W of modified sine wave output.
    • USB and DC Outputs: Provides 5V via USB, as well as 9V and 12V via DC jacks, suitable for powering devices such as smartphones, cameras, routers, and more.

  1. Inverter Design:
    The inverter system consists of two stages:

    • Stage 1: Boosts 12V to 280V DC using a push-pull configuration.
    • Stage 2: Converts the 280V DC into 220V AC with a modified sine wave using a full-bridge circuit.

  1. Voltage Regulation:

    • 9V Output: Achieved through a buck converter.
    • 12V Output: Powered by a buck-boost converter.
  2. Battery Pack:

    • Built using high-quality lithium-ion cells with a capacity of approximately 150Wh.
    • Rechargeable through any 12V adapter via the DC jack located on the left side of the device.

  1. Capacity Indicator:

    • Includes a battery capacity meter to display the remaining charge.
    • While charging, it shows the progress of battery replenishment.

Portability and Use Cases:

Weighing just 1.5 kg, this power pack is highly portable, making it an ideal companion for camping, traveling, or outdoor adventures. Its compact design ensures you can have access to 220V power anywhere you go.

Legacy and Development:

This power pack marked the beginning of our journey into uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and serves as the first version of our mini UPS series.
